Meet Our Teachers

My name is Mrs. McCarley. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015. I have two loving dogs, Callie and Riley, a Yorkie and a Lab. In my spare time, I like to go to the lake, ride side-by-sides, and read Harry Potter. I have taught 3rd Grade the past three years and I am looking forward to another exciting year!

Howdy! My name is Rachel Duenas and I am so excited to be a 3rd grade teacher at McNeil!
I have always loved learning and some of my fondest memories are of my elementary school teachers. I realized at a young age that I wanted to be just like them when I grew up; it is my goal to instill a passion for lifelong learning in every student! I was born in Houston, Texas, and then moved to Plano, Texas at the age of 4. As a child, I enjoyed dance (especially tap), singing, and church activities. Later, I joined the band as a percussionist and played Snare drum on the Plano East Senior High Drumline. After high school, I followed in the footsteps of my dad and brother and went to Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) in College Station, Texas to study Elementary Education. I not only gained a degree at A&M, but also adopted my dog, Stitch, and most importantly I met my future husband, Anthony!
I returned home to Plano and taught 4th grade for 3 years. During that time, I moved to Frisco with my new husband, and we were blessed with our first daughter, Becca. I decided to take some time away from teaching to focus on our family, to which we’ve added two more daughters, Emma and Natalie.
I came back to teaching when my husband decided to take his passion, coaching volleyball, full time and start a local youth club, Power Volleyball. We are truly blessed to both be able to pursue our passions - teaching and coaching - while also spending lots of time with our girls. Becca is in 4th grade at McNeil, Emma is in 1st grade, and Natalie is patiently waiting to start kindergarten in 2019.
We’ve lived in McKinney for over four years now and have really enjoyed getting to know the city and our community. Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with family, attending and serving at our local church, sewing, crafting, baking, and reading.
I’m looking forward to another wonderful year as a McNeil Mustang!

3rd Grade
My name is Lisa Cisneros and I am so excited to be at McNeil Elementary! I graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I have a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in early childhood through sixth grade. I was a stay at home mom to four amazing kiddos for many years. In that time, I took a few classes each semester to work toward my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Although challenging to raise a family and take college level courses, it was a great lesson for my family to see that hard work and persistence always pays off in the end! In my free time I love to read, write, and travel with my family.
Instilling a love for reading, writing, and learning about the world around them will be a top priority for my students! It’s going to be a GREAT school year in third grade!
